The Phlebotomy Technician program prepares graduates to work as entry-level phlebotomists. Students receive training in standard medical procedures for specimen collection and handling, special collections, laboratory tests,
and review for the certifying examination. Graduates may seek entry-level employment in physician’s offices, clinics, laboratories, hospitals, group practices, specialty practices, health insurance offices and nursing homes.
Tucson College graduates may test for the National Health Career Association’s Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) upon successful completion of the Phlebotomy Technician Diploma program.
The Phlebotomy Technician program is approved by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education. ACICS approval is not required.
